"It's only through writing that I've ever been able to suppress life's personal disappointments. When I can't write I feel anxious and out of sorts and am easily riled, though I'm usually able to control my emotions..."
- Pramoedya Ananta Toer (The Mute's Soliloquy: A Memoir)
["Hanya dengan menulis aku mampu menekan segala kekecewaan peribadi hidup. Bila aku tidak menulis, aku merasa cemas & tidak keruan serta mudah gusar, walau selalunya aku bisa mengawal emosiku..."]

No Good Deed Goes Unpunished

"Weeds do not easily grow in a field planted with vegetables. Evil does not easily arise in a heart filled with goodness."
We have to accept a fact that this life is occasionally unfair. There are times you thought that when you do good things, your life will turn out good, but at the end of it what's so good will practically bring along something bad. There's nothing to be afraid of if we can ponder to this fact as our reality check. Because as you may as well see, whatever lives will surely comes to an end & the only favor with the ending is either you want it to end good, or bad.
"When doing something, instead of worrying or being vexed about it, we should just be mindful."
If you're planning to do a lot of good deeds, always remind yourself that along the way you're going to find a lot of bad circumstances. This happened because the rule of life is 'everything comes in pair'. So the pair for good is bad, therefore, whatever good that come from you, will surely there's something bad. But why worry so much about the bad when you can do a lot with the good. The only worry is if you're easily taken by the bad instead of the good; that's when the reason why you always think life is unfair.
"Let go of all worries, only then will you appreciate the happiness of a compassionate heart."
Nothing good comes without challenges! If this life is all about being easy in whatever you want to achieve, trust me, who else wants to live a life where everybody can get what they want just by being easy. If everyone can be a king, who else is left for the king to rule? If everyone desires their own changes & they all are going to get it, so tell me, what's left for this world to bear all those changes? Being competitive is good, but if everyone competes for the same matter without tolerance for failure, what's good will definitely means bad.
"When we are irritated by others, it is actually because we are still lacking in graciousness."
If everybody wants to love the same person without even cares to love the person next to them, who do you think will love you if you're the one that's next to them? Let's go to the deeper part, if your heart found true love through the eyes of everyone, how many hearts can you bear to make sure that everyone will get a part of yourself? So you see friends, there is only a good hope to prevail many bad hopes.
"Only by undergoing the trials and challenges of human affairs do we become strong and resilient."
Without the right knowledge, thinking is easy, but thinking with proper knowledge is not easy. Same goes to what you want to do to be good, you have to go through many paces in order to achieve your point of good direction. It's like taking the miles just to reach where you want to be, so you can get where you want to achieve. Same point! But in order to pick up the miles, you also have to pick up the constraint that comes along the journey. The far the miles, more constraints they'll be heading your way!
"When conflict and adversity arise, always preserve a spacious heart."
Some distances maybe you can just walk, but for something big, no distance that you can just walk to achieve what you want in life. Sounds bad, right? I've been there & I knew! To be what I'm today, I have to bear a lot of pain that came along with a lot of laugh & happiness. All you have to do is just be positive with all the bad things that come forward while you are trying to be good, just stick to the one method called 'Pay It Forward'. Whatever good you do, just don't do it for yourself only, always pass it on others to learn.
"The more we give, the more we accomplish."
"If we are not attached to outcomes then we will not suffer from the pain of fallen expectations."
You must cultivate lots of energy in life in order to preserve good, so much that in your moment of downfall, though you're apprehensive & shame, have no regret to say you're ready to fall down deeper & feel the greatness of failure. In the hand of fate, we all fall down for the sake of our new uprising. There will be people talking bad about the fall, but believe this, there will be more people talking during the rise; good & bad. So either rise or fall, the faith is on you.
"Believe in yourself, but do not be attached to your own point of view."
Therefore bloggers, no matter what you say, make sure you really meant it from your pure heart. If you pick up line from other people, make sure it meant for good use or else it'll end up bad to other people's wrong perception. So no matter who said "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished" — either Clare Boothe Luce, Billy Wilder, John P. Grier, Andrew W. Mellon, Oscar Wilde or me; when it's your turn to say it, make sure punished it good!
"The hardest thing for people to see is themselves."
